Did you know that over time, any connection will oxidize and the result is corrosion.  To get the most from your Stereo Audio or Home Theater System, occasional cleaning of the connections is a good idea.  With this kit you will have everything you need to clean, preserve and enhance the speaker and RCA connections in your system.

Included in this kit are the following items:

3  Polishing Wipes for Copper, Silver, and Gold connectors.  Simply rub the connectors until they are clean.  These wipes will remove any corrosion and leave a bright surface without harming the metal.  Yes, even gold can benefit from polishing with these wipes.  As you use them, the wipe will become blackened with the corrosion it’s removing, but can be used repeatedly.  Each wipe will last for many polishings.  Each polishing wipe is 2 7/8″ X 3 5/8″.

3  DeoxIT® D-Series Wipes.  Each 1.5″ X 3.5″ individually packaged wipe is soaked with DeoxIT® D-Series 100% strength contact cleaner.

DeoxIT® D-Series contact cleaner is a fast-acting deoxidizing solution that cleans, protects, lubricates and improves conductivity on all metal connectors and contacts.

Use as a general treatment for connectors, contacts and other metal surfaces, and on non-critical metal surfaces with severe oxidation and corrosion. If the metal surface is discolored, it is severe. DeoxIT® dissolves the contamination and protects the surface.

3  DeoxIT® Gold G-Series 100% Contact Enhancer, Conditioner & Protector wipes.  Each 1.5″ X 3.5″ individually packaged wipe is soaked with DeoxIT® Gold G-Series 100% strength Contact Enhancer, Conditioner & Protector.

 

 

 
 
DeoxIT® Gold (formerly ProGold), is a unique conditioning solution that improves conductivity and provides long-lasting protection on gold, base metals and other precious metal contacts and connections (gold, silver, rhodium, copper, bronze, nickel, etc.).

Use on plated connectors, contacts and metal surfaces for maximum performance and protection.

Recommended for critical applications where only slight cleaning action is necessary. If the surface looks clean, applying DeoxIT D-Series contact cleaner first is usually not necessary. DeoxIT® Gold is designed to dissolve small amounts of oxidation. Apply DeoxIT® Gold after DeoxIT® D-Series contact cleaner on plated metal surfaces, except where noted with DeoxIT® Shield S-Series below. The more critical the connection or part, especially low current applications, DeoxIT® Gold should be the final step.
For reference, DeoxIT® Gold has approximately 0.5% cleaning action.

1  Signet RCA Cleaner

Clean your RCAs with the Signet RCA Cleaning Tool! Simply the most effective way to clean your RCA cables and sockets, the Signet RCA Cleaning Tool contains a proprietary blend of injection molded ingredients. The Signet RCA Cleaning Tool is mildly abrasive, just enough to remove both grime and oxidation from any RCA without damaging the connector. Use your favorite contact cleaner or just by themselves, the Signet RCA Cleaning Tool is a must have accessory.

One end of the Signet RCA Cleaning Tool looks like a male RCA, simply insert this end into any RCA jack and remove. Do not twist, just insert and remove. Repeat as necessary until the jack is clean.

The other end of the Signet RCA Cleaning Tool looks like a female RCA, insert the male plug of an RCA cable into this side and remove without twisting. The gentle abrasion will clean off both oxidization and carbonization from the positive pole and clears the ground path as well.
